How we handle student information

Evaluations hold sensitive student records. These are the protections built into the product today.

• Name masking before AI.

  Before any text is sent to AI for a draft, student names and ID numbers are replaced with placeholders. A private-information check lets you scan a report for names, IDs and birth dates before it leaves.

• Each practice is separate.

  Each practice has its own organization and workspace. A practice cannot open another practice's or a district's records. We test this on every release.

• Invite-only accounts.

  There is no public sign-up. Users are invited by their practice, and every sign-in happens at www.spedally.com.

• Reviewers cannot edit.

  Reviewers can read a case and sign off on a report. The system blocks them from changing it.

• A record of who did what.

  Actions on a case are logged with who and when. Every report export is recorded in the case's sharing log.

• Signing out ends your sessions.

  When you sign out, your sessions in each part of the app are ended, not just the page you were on.
